Sure, it hasn't shown much, but just wait until E3... oh no.
So, you're embracing the idea that Microsoft is all about fluff and marketing?
Kinect is really cool for what it does, but Move can bring similar experiences PLUS bring new control and gameplay possibilities to core games. Kinect may show that in coming months, but Microsoft REALLY needed to show it today, and they didn't.
It was one of the 15 games on the graphic that Microsoft had for the Kinect launch games. Notice it lists it for "Wii, Playstation Move, and another to be announced system", not mentioning 360.
Why didn't Microsoft say anything about 3D? It makes me wonder if it will be the same type of 3D, or possibly the anaglyph (red & blue glasses type) on the 360. I'll wait for more information.
Probably just the RGB camera. Goes to show, though, that a lot of the "revolutionary" stuff of Kinect can be done other ways.
Isn't tomorrow just the broadcast of the event they had yesterday?
I was really looking forward to finally seeing some more of that game.
Could be pretty cool.
These prices, if correct, are just like buying the stuff separately. You would think bundling would be a better value.
When the highlight of your conference is something called a "Vitality Sensor", and is something that hospitals use, it's pretty bad. This was pretty disappointing, though. What was the "bigger than Natal" announcement? A Slim 360 with built-in Wi-Fi?
I think Kinect will be really cool for what it does, but it has some real limitations.
We don't know anything else about it, though, and if GT5 does the same things with Move that Forza does with Kinect... well, there's a lot to compete with there.
Most of the stuff shown looked pretty fun to me, but only for getting the family together for a game night.
What was up with not showing Fable III's Kinect functions, though? Have they been quietly cancelled, or maybe just not up and running yet? Forza looked better graphically than i was expecting from Kinect games, but that was the only core game they showed, and we don't know anything else about it.
But I was expecting them to show some "core" games at the end, and they didn't even say how Fable III uses it.
It will be really good for getting the family playing games together (think "family game night", but with video games), but it looks like it won't be much more than that.
If it's $60, who would bother when GT5 offers more.
But Kinect is so fast that the player is actually lagging behind the actions on screen.
Then maybe the small sites should do some research of their own and write good articles. The cream will rise to the top, as they say.
This article is calling out these sites about the same thing that most of us complain about when we see these crap "news" articles. Many video games "journalists" do no research, they speculate, then copy each others' speculations.
What if Microsoft announces a partnership with this them to add a Move like controller in conjunction with Natal. It would explain the higher than expected price, and Sixense has said they will be compatible with consoles this year.
It would have been hotel staff entering the hotel rooms. Just like when they enter the room every day to clean it.
